Fantastic place, stayed for 2 nights.
Amazing breakfast with local foods and explanations. Best in Senegal.
Wonderful owner and host Madame Marie-Caroline plus her staff who were so kind and helpful and went 'the extra mile' when we lost a phone - it was found.
Room was delightful and large. Hotel was beautifully designed by Marie-Caroline.
Location was great - easy to walk everywhere. Bicycle recycling artist next door - great stuff.
We loved our stay v much!
Beautiful guesthouse - very chic with a perfect courtyard for relaxing. Wonderful choice of local treats for breakfast as well as standard items. Marie-Caroline was a joy to meet. Would absolutely stay again and recommend. Thank you!
Gorgeous stay at Fil de Fleuve in St Louis. Tucked out of the hustle and bustle of downtown (but still walkable in 15 mins), it’s the perfect base for exploring the city. The rooms are really tasteful. The Fulani-style breakfast is a real treat, with a muesli made from local Sahel ingredients. There are complementary cocktails at 7pm. We spent a lot of time with the owner, Mdme Camara, who told us loads about local history, culture, development, art and the people of the area. We’d definitely come again if we’re back in Senegal.
One of the best places we have stayed, not just in Senegal, but around the world. The guest house is spectacular, so much so that you won't want to leave. The breakfast was incredible, with new delights every morning. The rooms were charming and comfortable. Great art everywhere you look. But above all, Marie-caroline is the perfect host - generous, warm and welcoming, but makes you feel completely comfortable in the space. If you are visiting Saint-Louis you absolutely have to stay here!
Beautiful, restored older building on a quiet street in St. Louis. Safe, clean, charming. The hostess will put you in touch with guides and info needed to enjoy this small town. They have some old bikes available for cycling around the two islands. Super fun riding around. The fishing port and market is a must - only 10 minute walk away. Highly recommend. Makes St.Louis worth the visit.
