SALT Boutique Guesthouse

To our surprise the reception upon arriving was very cold. We had to sign in and was just shown to our room. We decided to explore the place and have a drink at the bar. To our dismay, we were told the bar does not operate in winter. We enquired about the jacuzzi and was advised it doesn't work. As per the website, a robe and slippers will be in the room. None of those were in the room or offered to us.

Dont expect a welcome party on entry or exit. Pretty much self service. Rooms ok though last day room wasnt cleaned properly and door was left unlocked. No basics like tea . So no one checking detail. Gadgets in room didnt work causing frustration to open blinds and to switch on tv. Case of too fancy. Kreepy krawly in pool ran all night causing sleep disturbance . Took 2 days to address. Staff need more training on how to engage with clients and soft touch. Still waiting for my boiled eggs....

I hosted my birthday party at SALT, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. From the moment I inquired about renting the venue to the end of the night, everything was absolutely perfect. The venue itself is stunning. The atmosphere is chic and modern, with just the right touch of elegance. It provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable birthday with friends and family. The layout of the space allowed for easy mingling and dancing. The staff on the night of the event were exceptional. They were attentive and friendly, ensuring that everything ran smoothly. I didn't have to worry about a thing, which allowed me to fully enjoy my celebration. After the party, my friends and I stayed over in the beautiful rooms and villas. Each room was elegantly designed, offering a comfortable and luxurious experience. The villas were particularly special, providing a unique and cozy atmosphere. The next morning, we enjoyed a special breakfast that was just as impressive as the previous night's feast. The selection was vast and everything was freshly prepared and delicious, making for a perfect start to our day. Thank you, SALT, for making my birthday celebration so special!

OMG! This place is heaven on earth in my opinion. I loved how they warmly welcomed us. Our room had everything we needed even a coffee bar they even gave us milk and water!They have a mini breakfast buffet for cereal and fruits and you could order a warm breakfast as well, very tasty omelette by the way. 10/10 would recommend omg. I also love that the place is also not too crowded even in peak season the surrounding area is also super friendly.

The rooms are tastefully decorated with every detail being thought of carefully and that amazing shower. I restful stay in John had me waking up to go for a refreshing run and come back to a lovely breakfast. The braai on a Friday night was great to start the weekend and meeting other traveller's at the bar area. The overall service was great and a nice pool. Nicely hidden if you love your privacy, this is definitely a gem. The location is great, close to the mall, restaurants, surfing beach and nice area for a run towards the beach. I will stay here again.
