a month agoRooms are a bit dated. the staff is excellent and super nice. Location is very accessible to users and bolt. Breakfast is worth the extra cost. Very limited beach access, drinks could be mixed stronger at bar. Forex Location on-site is very convenient.

a month agoI enjoyed my stay at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel. The customer service was consistently excellent — from reception to room service, laundry, and bell staff. Everyone was polite, helpful, and attentive throughout my week-long stay. The room was very comfortable. I especially loved the bed, the strong and efficient air conditioning (a must in Accra’s heat and humidity), and the reliable hot water, which heated up in about 15 minutes. Initially, the tap water was brown though but it cleared up after some time and had great pressure. The breakfast options were great I especially had the chance to try out Ghanaian dishes like Jollof rice, banku, egg stew and okra and goat stew. The desserts were delicious, and I appreciated the made-to-order omelettes. However, the bacon was too salty for my taste, and the fruits were not as sweet as I expected. The hotel also offers great amenities — a large swimming pool and a gym, perfect for unwinding or starting the day actively. Overall, La Palm is a comfortable, beachfront, budget-friendly option in Accra. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others looking for a decent place with local flavor and good service.

4 months agoI’m fairly certain now having stayed the reviews here aren’t real. The pool was closed, has been for a few weeks and will be for a while longer per the staff. I get that hotels have to repair things at some point but when we arrived they acted like this was not a big deal at all when it’s the biggest draw of the place. And this place isn’t cheap. Offered no apology - told us at first we could walk down a busy road to their sister hotel that had a much smaller pool. Eventually they agreed to at least drive us there. There is no private beach access and if you enter beach from hotel the men working there will yell at you. The room was very disappointing for the cost - AC was dirty, holes in wall and floor, shower head broken and only came up to my waist, sinks didn’t drain, garbage can broken and didn’t close, and found many critters and they had to come spray twice. They gave my friend an even worse room which was confusing as the place seemed empty - they switched her to one that had at least been painted and closer to the ocean. Not sure why they are giving anyone the worst rooms when no one is there. Breakfast was good, staff was otherwise nice. Would call to ensure pool working and would not stay here if not. Even with the pool, I won’t unfortunately be staying again given the response to it and state of my room.

a month agoThe staff on reception looked like I was an inconvenience rather than a guest. I turned up to collect my swim suit, I had left it in the shower the day before. Last night, a very helpful woman told me, on the phone, she had found it and put it safe for me to collect today. The reception staff really did not care. The pool attendant gentleman was incredible helpful and couldn't do enough to try and locate my missing item. Unfortunately I left empty handed. Not impressed with the service at reception where first impressions are made.

4 months agoLa Palm Royal Beach Hotel offers a range of amenities, including an outdoor pool, gym, and spa. The private beach is a nice feature, and the free airport shuttle is convenient. The hotel's staff is friendly, and the rooms are well-appointed. A good option for those looking for a comfortable experience with standard amenities.
