Lovey place to be based for a long weekend exploring Saint Louis. Particularly enjoyed the breakfasts, and the staff - Abi and Charles. Only suggestion for improvement would be cleanliness of the cushions for the outdoor seating areas.
Beautiful, restored older building on a quiet street in St. Louis. Safe, clean, charming. The hostess will put you in touch with guides and info needed to enjoy this small town. They have some old bikes available for cycling around the two islands. Super fun riding around. The fishing port and market is a must - only 10 minute walk away. Highly recommend. Makes St.Louis worth the visit.
One of the best places we have stayed, not just in Senegal, but around the world. The guest house is spectacular, so much so that you won't want to leave. The breakfast was incredible, with new delights every morning. The rooms were charming and comfortable. Great art everywhere you look. But above all, Marie-caroline is the perfect host - generous, warm and welcoming, but makes you feel completely comfortable in the space. If you are visiting Saint-Louis you absolutely have to stay here!
Superb!! This is the best stay I have had in Senegal so far. The location, rooms, legendary breakfast, friendly staff, and so much more make this place memorable. I am so happy I stayed here for a week as a solo traveler. Madame Camara, Mama Boye, Bassirou, Abyi, and other are just lovely. I can't wait to come back!
Tranquility, authenticity, and conviviality — that's how I'd describe this place and its qualities. Marie-Caroline and the crew are amazingly hospitable and make a visit to Saint-Louis positively unforgettable. Book without hesitation.
