2 weeks agoThe hotel is certainly a good option in Gambia. While the service provided by some of the staff was exceptional, there were instances where it lacked attention. Health and safety measures seemed to be overlooked, which caused some concern for us. Unfortunately, my husband injured his leg due to the wooden parts on the floor. The food was satisfactory, and we enjoyed the entertainment provided. Although the beach could benefit from cleaning, the pool area was impressive. It's worth noting that access to certain amenities and services requires additional charges. Additionally, there were frequent shortages of towels and occasional electrical issues. For those interested in excursions, there is a conveniently located office in front of the hotel that offers a variety of options. When exchanging currency, it's important to be mindful of the exchange rates, as euros, dollars, and pounds are often valued similarly at the hotel.

4 weeks agoWe arrived on Sunday evening and we had a nice warm welcome from the reception staff. Monday was my wife's birthday, the staff treated her like royalty all day. I asked the F&B manager if he could reserve a table for the evening as a surprise for my wife. We went for our meal and the staff had set the table to a very high standard. The staff were so attentive and professional. The food was awesome and cooked to perfection. After our meal the waiting staff and chefs come out with a delicious birthday cake especially made for my wife, they all sang and danced around the table. Nothing is to much for the staff to do and make any occasion special. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone.

2 months agoHad a great week at Tamala. It's a stunning low rise hotel centered around a large pool area. The All Inclusive was very good, staff were amazing on every level. Great location on the beach, short walk to a market and a strip of bars and restaurants. We will definitely be back!

a month agoI went to visit my son on a Saturday, and when I used the lavatory, I discovered there was no water to either flush or wash my hands. Was back the following day for the Sunday brunch, and the problem was rectified. Very nice surroundings. However, the staff seemed confused as to what was on offer for the brunch. The restaurant manager, Sulayaman, was very accommodating and sorted things out. 4 stars overall.

a month agoAn outstanding hotel/resort right on the beach. Rooms are very comfortable and spacious. Great restaurant and bar with a wide selection of both local and international dishes for reasonable prices. I worked remote from here and the internet was both strong and consistent - I was able to take video calls with no lagging, even right on the edge of the beach. Maybe the best part was the service - everyone at the resort was extremely friendly and kind. Taxis are also readily available to take you around the Serrekunda/Banjul area. I hope to be back in The Gambia so I can stay here again in the future!
