2 weeks agoI loveeeeee this accommodation! You can see the table mountain and lion’s head from your window. Room can be a bit cold but very clean! Ruth was so nice to us and really friendly. We love the breakfast so much!

6 months agoIt's such a lovely spot. Booked for work, and it was comfy and exactly what I needed. The space is older than the hotels I usually stay in, but so well maintained! And the cheery, helpful staff are definitely a highlight. The property shared a space with a very busy restaurant, which only really goes quiet after midnight, so if you sleep early and can't do noise, that might be an issue for you. But I loved it. The vibe is fantastic. And I got the most gorgeous views of the mountains.

4 months agoLocated in a pleasant party of Cape Town, the lodge is within walking distance of several museums, parks, coffee shops, etc. The rooms are small, and many have balconies. Highly recommend.

8 months agoStarting with the pros: 1. Black owned hotel! In a country where the majority of the wealth is owned by non-Black Africans, any chance to support a Black owned hotel is a def plus! 2. Staff were all super friendly, warm and accommodating 3. Location! Love that Roxy bar, Greek restaurant and cannabis lounge (if that's your thing) is across the parking lot. Also walking distance to the Gardens and museums/art gallery and downtown 4. View from the room. Table Mountain and Lions Head Mountain are right at the doorstep. Even more magical to see Table Mountain lit up at night. Very nice balcony to sit and enjoy the views. 5. Restaurant on site is quaint and makes yummy homemade meals Not so great: 6. Carpet in the rooms don't feel great on bare feet (I assume they're meant for office buildings) 7. Soap in shower isn't labeled so not sure which is shampoo and which is shower gel 8. No elevator so gotta haul luggage up one flight of stairs (which also means it's not an accessible hotel for many) Overall we loved our stay and would recommend! Especially if you want to support Black owned businesses.
