We had a very pleasant stay. The staff is so friendly, there’s local African food to enjoy and the hotel is located right at the beach - which is amazing: tidy, quiete, lovely sea water, all in all just perfect to relax. The rooms are big, infrastructure could be a bit more tidy or better maintained but don’t pay too much attention to these details. We’re in Africa after all, don’t expect topnotch superior quality. I would recommend staying here if you like a relaxing vacation, enjoy the beach and embrace African culture! Don’t hesitate to book some trips with the locals to see the real-life Africa in Gambia, it’s worth it, it’s a life-experience.

We have been staying in this hotel for a long week, and I really want to emphasize that the staff is doing its best efforts to give guests a good experience. For Gambian standards, this is a very good hotel. The staff is willing to be of good service, they want to go the extra mile, at the reception I could arrange a local tour guide to exlore the area. The food was amazing compared to other places I've been to in Africa and we bartender and boolboys were the most smiling and friendly people to have around you. The room was decent and cleaned every day. I would advice to be alert on closing your appartment doors behind you and using the mosquito nets. Thank you folks! We had an amazing and relaxing time at yout hotel!

A very welcoming and pleasant stay at Kalimba resort. The staff are all very helpful, the food was great and there was a different choice each day. If your looking for peaceful and relaxing holiday I would definitely recommend you try. There was one member of staff in particular that went above and beyond who helped endlessly, thank you Ousman, a true gent and a great asset to the resort.

Food is awful, my wife is already sick after just 1 day. They say all-inclusive but it's not all-inclusive. They serve nice food in the à la carte restaurant, but you have to pay extra for that (and it's expensive compared to restaurants in the area). So they have nice food and different food available, but they don't serve it for the all-inclusive guests. The broccoli is hard and sweaty, can't believe a cook made that. A 5 year old child cooks better than that. Also, the drinks are either with a lot of sugar or with alcohol. They have zero beverages but you also have to pay for that as well (again not all-inclusive!). We paid a lot of money for all-inclusive, but we don't get it, it's actually ridiculous. We are here till Sunday so hopefully something will change about the food they offer and about the zero lemonade beverages they don't offer (as they stated in previous responds on reviews). But I doubt it. Pools are nice, rooms are okay.

Good resort but we choose a resort without children for the relaxing... the Dutch are extremely present with their loud music at the pool, like we are sitting in a Dutch pub. We did not choose for this. A lott off people complain about this but gladly the going fast to home Food is normal and fresh. On sunday the lunch at Tamala is very well mabey they can do this more often! I don’t drink much alcohol but red wine is good for a resort, I think one of the better wines I ever had. Every night the live music is really great. Staff is very nice and the rooms are big and almost clean. Under the bed is a little dust. The cleaning staff shouts very early in the morning (around 6 am) at each other every morning so sleeping long is not an option. We also said something about it and they understood it. The garden and fixing management is very good, work hard and nice.
