Jamrock Restaurant & Grill is a refreshing and vibrant addition to Accra’s food and lifestyle scene, tucked just behind the Oak Plaza Hotel in East Legon. I stumbled on it by chance after hearing upbeat salsa music in the area—curiosity led me in, and the energy was so infectious I knew I had to come back. The following weekend, I returned to properly experience what Jamrock had to offer, and it turned out to be a memorable visit. The atmosphere is one of the restaurant’s biggest strengths. There’s a great balance between fun and relaxation, with multiple seating options to suit your mood—whether you’re soaking up the energy poolside (be ready for a few light splashes) or enjoying a quiet meal under the shade of tall trees. For those looking to be more active, Jamrock offers access to a swimming pool, and there are instructors available, making it a great place to combine dining with a bit of wellness or recreation. The addition of board games also adds a playful, interactive element for friends or families looking to spend quality time together. The menu is impressively broad, filled with authentic Jamaican dishes alongside some local favorites. If you’re willing to step out of your culinary comfort zone, Jamrock makes it worth your while—the flavors are bold and satisfying, the portions are generous, and the pricing is fair. I enjoyed my meal so much I ended up ordering extra to take home. The service was warm and attentive, with staff focused on making guests feel at home. From prompt attention to ensuring comfort throughout, they struck the right balance between professional and friendly. In all, Jamrock isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience. Whether you’re drawn by the Caribbean flavors, the lively music, the option to take a swim, or just want to relax and play some board games under the trees, it’s a spot that delivers on both atmosphere and substance. It’s definitely earned a place on my list of go-to weekend spots.

Grab a cabana by the pool on a sunny afternoon. The Caribbean cuisine is good and the portions are a good size. I will be back for the jerk chicken that my friend got but I enjoyed my curry goat with rice and peas. Customer service was good enough

First time here as I was in the mood for Jamaican oxtail. Placed an order for oxtails and sweet potato fries. The price was 280 cedis so I was expecting a plenty oxtails. Only for it to be delivered it 1 nice piece with fat a d 3 other extremely small bites. Filled with veggies and brown sauce. The flavor hmmmm was not Jamaican and was rather bland with no spice or heat. I was so disappointed 🥹. Would likely return bc of the chill environment but would never order the oxtail.
