Pantry by Gemelli

I ordered the soy and lime chicken thighs and they were shockingly small. Tasty but not worth R145. I had them with the house salad which was absolutely delicious. I'm not big on dressings but this one was a hit. Very good balance of flavours and textures. What I can say about Pantry is that the food is always good. The healthy chicken bowl is really good. Give it a try when you're cash flush.

An upscale destination for culinary delights in Bryanston from the team behind the great restaurant Gemelli. The restaurant is located in Post House center and has inside/outside seating. This is a great spot for breakfast and brunch. The menu has interesting dishes along with twists on comfort foods that all South Africans would enjoy. The flavors of the food are bold, plated beautifully and show the good quality of the ingredients used. They also have great coffee and cocktails. If you would like to have a work lunch or want to work away from your desk, there is decent wifi as well. Prices are on the higher side for breakfast but this is also one of the places for people to see and be seen.

Went for brunch and my friend and I enjoyed our time here. The restaurant is stunning and I love the aesthetic, the outdoor chairs seem a bit old though or have been damaged by the weather. We had mimosas and they were great, if you are staying longer, I would recommend getting a bottle of sparkling wine and juice. It is cheaper than ordering countless mimosas. The food was good but I did expect more because it is by Gemelli. Great place would recommend.

Before anything else, the Churro Style French Toast is the best French toast I have eaten in all my life. No contest. This restaurant is absolutely mind blowing! It has a classic café style atmosphere with enough touches of Africa that you don't forget you are in our lovely sunny country. The menu items show this same flair featuring dombolo and magwinya and other local flavors. The service is always on point and everyone from the chef to waiters are so nice and kind! Not to mention their cappachinos are to die for! This restaurant is for sure one of my favourites! Edit one year later: the Churro Style French Toast is still the best breakfast in Jozi.

Great vibes!! Food was very tasty. I had the beef shashushuka and my partner had a burger and he LOVED it. The MIMOSAs👌🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽 chef’s kiss🤭 one place you can never get tired of visiting .
