The Buka

This place is fire and the food is right there with it. If it says pepper anything, just know you will be on fire 🤣 but you won't be able to stop eating. Everything was delicious and the atmosphere is just perfect.

I visited The Buka Restaurant in Accra four times during my stay – and every single visit was excellent! The kitchen offers truly authentic Ghanaian cuisine, prepared with care and rich in flavor. The jollof rice is a highlight – perfectly spiced, with just the right amount of heat, and absolutely delicious. The drinks are just as impressive: from fresh mango juice to chilled coconut water and beautifully served virgin mojitos, everything tasted fresh and was presented with attention to detail. Service here is first-class. The staff are friendly, warm, and professional – and I was especially touched that by my third visit, they already recognized me and welcomed me back. If you’re looking for a place in Accra with top-quality food, authentic flavors, and genuinely hospitable service, The Buka is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back on my next trip!

Enjoyed our group lunch at Buka. We ordered different dishes from the menu and they were tasty and enjoyable. Staff are nice and friendly. Good selections of drink menu. Nice decor. Recommended

Hand washing station station at the front door, loved it. The building itself and the decor is very nice. I was with a very large group so we had buffet service - food was delicious. The service was quick and attentive.

Seen this restaurant on a social media page and decided to stop by since I was in the area. I ordered the veggie okra stew with wele. The taste was just ok. But the portion size was too small for my liking. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and staff were nice. What bothered me a bit was that this was first time taxes were added in addition to my food bill. Everywhere I go businesses add the taxes in the meal already. This didn’t sit well with me. A meal that was 125 went to 160 bc of extra taxes. For that reason I wouldn’t return and feel like this was an overpriced and overrated experience.
