The Views Restaurant at Lira Boutique Lodge

I’ve rated that other part of lira before so when the views popped up I assumed its because I was at a wedding there recently .. well the views waiters were serving so I guess it’s still the same kinda . Anyway food was good. ,the service was also good .. the venue and the deco was amazing very much recommend for events.

The restaurant is beautiful, the atmosphere is absolutely top notch. The restaurant faces a breathtaking view of the Nadoni dam . Google maps directions were pretty straight forward but the last few kms to the place is all gravel road but even a small car can drive well. To enter the restaurant one much pay R350 prior then if your meal and drinks exceeds , you pay the reminder /balance amount.. The service is quite slow , Though the place was not packed the waiter took time to bring drinks , food and just attending to people.. I had high hopes for the food but was a bit disappointed , the toasted bread that came with the mussels was not as toasted and the gravy were a bit dull.. Would definitely visit again,

Their portions are way too small for the prices they charge. Something should be done? That burger? The chisa nyama combo? No

We were truly looking forward to this celebratory lunch but were left very disappointed at the low level of crisis management. We booked and paid in advance, but only when we managed to get the whole family there, were we told many of the menu items (7 of the 12 main meals, many of the wines and the cocktails) were not available. All the food we were looking forward to was not available. The waiters were visibly stressed and were really kind about helping us enjoy, but not a manager came to apologise for the inconvenience and when we explained how unacceptable this was for us. We stayed only because of the trouble of finding another place to eat at the last minute - we truly wish we did not and would not be recommending this place to anyone due to this. Although a stunning place, the service is simply not worth the price.

We had planned a birthday celebration for 40 people. They confirmed availability of the restaurant, we deposited using the dine plan link they provided. They also confirmed the booking. Two weeks before the event, they told us that the restaurant was already booked and that we should choose a new date or request a refund. We obviously requested a refund. They claim that the refund was processed on 20 November 2024. We are still waiting for the refund to this day (24 November 2024). The restaurant has very little (to none) communication. We had to chase them for information after their horrible service. We were severely inconvenienced because of Lira Boutique's horrible service. They are hogging our deposit while they repudiated from your agreement. Would not recommend anyone to book any serious event with them. Highly unprofessional!
