in the last weekLovely spot to spend a few days in the bush. Excellent service, delicious food and great game drives. Unfortunately there's no clear smoking policy and you may have to breathe second-hand smoke because other tourists feel entitled to smoke in the dining areas.

a year agoWhere to start? From the welcome itself to the game drive with very knowledgeable Cloud. The rooms were modern but very suited to the environment, the ambiance was so relaxing. Joyce’s hosting was quite exceptional and all the other servers served us with such grace and warmth and kindness. Activities like fishing were fun, a sunset picnic at the lake shore was just perfect for photos. I can’t sum it up adequately except to say I highly recommend a visit

a year agoUnparalleled attention...to the guest and their personal preferences. Refreshingly cool waters for a post-lunch dip. Noone makes a carrot cake like Chef Sunshine! A game drive with Cloud or Tatenda is an experience! Fishing with Tatenda was full of laughs. Being in Joyce's care is like a warm embrace from an old friend. She was warm, mindful and stayed up as long as we were up. Matthias looked after my room in stellar fashion. Nothing out of place, everything topped up before I had to ask. Rooms with views, Large Outdoor shower, banging meal after banging meal...an epic stay. Oh...and they made a special birthday cake and sang for us. Boy did we dance. Oh, how we laughed. All in all...a fantastic stay that I'll gladly repeat over and over.

3 years agoSimply perfect! Idyllic 5 star lodge nestled in the bumi hills overlooking the vast Kariba lake. The rooms and common areas have been meticulously designed with the finest African artefacts and style. The staff is great and pay close attention to detail. It's peaceful, rejuvenating and serene. The usual room tv and wifi are replaced with the magnificent views of the lake below and the coming and going of all sorts of beautiful wild animals. The outdoor shower has been a fave for me. The entire experience was a perfect escape with plenty of spoiling received.
