iKhaya means “the home” or “the house” in Xhosa. iKhaya Lodge is a unique African styled boutique hotel in the center of Cape Town which has become world-renowned for its stunning and authentic African design and its dramatic views of Table Mountain and the City Bowl. It is the ideal spot!

in the last weekVery pleasant. The staff are attentive and helpful. The rooms are kept clean and spacious. Location is okay and security on hand. There are a few cafes/restaurants across the road but outside of that I don’t recommend walking to places from the hotel area.

6 months agoAbsolutely fantastic experience all round. The venue is beautifully decorated and maintained to top quality standards. The staff are some of the best one could hope for, and as for the food... 5 star quality South African cuisine like no other!!! I highly recommend! And please speak to Ruth. She is absolutely fabulous and will put a smile on your face.

6 months agoThis is a wonderful lodge with a great owner and attentive staff. The rooms were nice and cozy, and the breakfast service was excellent. Will definitely stay here again.

10 months agoThe staff are just okay, overall the lodge is fairly okay. Breakfast was fair, they choose to give you what they have, there wasn't much choice. The rooms are not very big, and the cleaning service was terrible, they show up very late to clean and towels weren't replaced everyday, there was so much heat, the room fans couldn't contain the heat. Air conditioning is needed in all rooms. The shower head was really bad the bathroom light fitted was meant for outdoor security lights. No microwave in the rooms (very bad). No 24hr help desk, security is terribly, the guard guy tries but isn't enough for lodge. Proper security is needed. Once you in, you are on your own. Overall it's a fair little spot for one to two days if one is really desperate for a place.
