A monthly event hosted by Beats By Her - a very fun and safe space for women and queer groups and their allies.
The food was awesome - I enjoyed a vegetarian plate and a friend some chicken wings - absolutely worthwhile. Drinks are quite pricey.
Nice quiant venue. Service could be slightly better. Seems like a good space for smaller events, Cocktails and even as remote working venue with chargers all around the bar area.
If you love art, poetry, craft beer (devil's peak), draft (castle lite, Stella Artois, and nice African food... I definitely dare you to check out this joint. Thank me later!!!
This is such a cute spot in Braamfontein. The space is very well designed. It's understated, uncluttered and uncomplicated. It makes room for the art that is often exhibited on the walls to stand out and be the focal point. My favourite part... The Untitled Basement. A hidden gem of a music venue at the basement of the restaurant. The ambience is just beautiful and the design and interior is exquisite. The set up allows one a 360 view of the performance and an intimate and close view of the musicians and their bands. It reminds me of those speakeasy music clubs in movies where the famous jazz musicians used to go and play. The food at both the Artivist restaurant and the Basement is worth the visit. The menu is limited, but the options are really tasty. To say I love this place is an understatement.
Great experience in the heart of Braamfontein, definitely worth visiting if you want a creative space for lunch, drinks and dinner or to have a coffee with your laptop. Staff were friendly and food tasty. Great mix on the menu including vegan and vegetarian options. Would recommend you pay a visit.
