4 months agoNot bad, but a few issues I encountered during a 2 week stay: 1: The breakfast area was too small for the accommodation, On some mornings I had to return periodically to see whether I could find a place to sit. 2: Parking was insufficient. 3: The coffee machine was often empty or not working. 4: No grass or place to relax outside, just a paved parking strip. A bit austere.

a month agoFirst to say the good stuff: Rooms are nicely designed, clean and fresh. And shout out to Luvuyo and the lovely cook, Daphne, whose service and kind manners went a long way to help up this rating from a 1 to a 3 star. However, the biggest problem with this place is the parking, and today’s crisis, cannot go unmentioned. Despite the website’s promise of “free, secure parking”, this offer is impossible for the hotel to meet when fully booked because there are 12 units available, but only 8 secure parkings within the boundary walls. (See attached pics). This morning a businessman narrowly avoided missing his flight and guests who had arrived after midnight had to be woken early in order to move their vehicle which was blocking his exit. The staff did their best in a difficult situation, which should never have happened in the first place. The owner arranged a security guard for the following 2 nights of our stay, and on the whole we had a good experience. I would stay at the Nare again.

Then the next morning, i came down for breakfast and sat at the table, i was asked for my room number and that was it 30mins later other guests arrived and within mins they got they breakfast, when i asked at reception, she thought that i had already been serviced by the chef. Really bad service from the staff here.

8 months agoThis is a really pretty hotel, with lovely looking rooms but I had a truly terrible experience, which I am hoping is an outlier. My room should absolutely not have been booked out to any human. I arrived at 6pm and the room was not ready, I waited about 45 minutes until I good go to the room. it smelt so badly of still, dirty water. I spoke to housekeeping, who was still in my room, making the bed, she said yes the drain is an ongoing issue she's alerted management to. She then, at 7pm, drained it and threw some chemicals in to diffuse the smell. My room smelt chemical. I went out for dinner and left the balcony open to clear the smell. At 10pm I returned with the room smelling 10x worse. From 10pm until 11pm the night manager, who also admitted to knowing this was a problem, had to try to sort out the room, threw even stronger chemicals in the bathroom, making me high from the fumes. I had to keep the room door open until it was okay for me to sleep. The next morning the kitchen staff were also not very friendly or helpful at breakfast. A truly terrible experience.
