Klein Goederust winery came about in 1905. In 2019 the Siguqa family acquired the property and so began their own winemaking journey, inspired by the family matriarch Nomaroma Siguqa, a lifelong Cape wine farm labourer.

a month agoWe were excited to visit this wine farm because of the good reviews, but unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the experience. The views from this wine farm are not as scenic as the other ones on the blue line, and the service was very slow. We had an hour from the time we were dropped off to the time we were picked up. By the time our order was taken to the time we started our wine tasting, we had 10 mins left on the clock. As you can imagine, it was not an enjoyable experience. It might have been the rushed circumstances, but the 2 wine tastings we ordered did not taste good at all. If you are pressed for time, and it's between this wine farm and another, I would skip this one.

a month agoGreat wine tasting, incredible bang for buck! Very relaxed atmosphere and beautiful views. Stayed for the lunch buffet, which admittedly seemed a bit steeply priced compared to the rest of our day - but still very delicious and well worth it.

3 weeks agoWhat an incredible day spent with the lovely folks at this wine farm. We enjoyed our visit and will be recommending to friends and family to visit when in Cape Town. We serendipitously ended up at this wine farm from our Silversea shore excursion, and we were so lucky. Our favourite wine was the Shiraz. We bought a Xhosa blanket to take home as a keepsake memory from the day.

a month agoBeautiful, great service, great wine. Wish we could’ve been there for a meal! Grateful to support the only Black owned winery in Franschhoek.

3 months agoWe were advised to come here by Nash at Topiary as we were disappointed we had not found any black owned wine farms. We made it here on our last day in Franschoek and I’m so glad we did because it was my favourite by far. With such an inspiring start, this farm is a must visit. The quality of the wine was again, above anything we had tasted over our few days and the MCC and Shiraz were my personal favourites with the delicious cheese board. The staff were all so rightly proud of their achievements here and you could feel their love and warmth for their wine family and guests. We will tell everyone about this top quality wine farm in Franschoek.
