La Pergola

My friends and I had an amazing meal and drinks at La Pergola, located at 44 Stanley in Johannesburg, South Africa. The restaurant serves authentic Italian food, and everything we had was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great Italian dining experience!

I just had the lasagna at La Pergola (44 Stanley, Johannesburg) and let me confess, it’s the best I’ve ever had. The layers were perfect, the sauce rich, the cheese just the right balance of creamy and savoury. Every bite reminded me why I travel for good food. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Nice little Italian restaurant tucked away at 44 Stanley Shopping District in Milpark, Johannesburg. The food is great & the place is good for catching up with friends coffee meetings during office hours. Lunch time is busy so you need to book in advance. The restaurant is right across The Bioscope Film Theatre for those that enjoy mostly local & independent films.

An Italian restaurant, nestled within the charming 44 Stanley complex, for a late-afternoon treat. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a warm and welcoming decor. We ordered a hot chocolate and a chai latte, both of which were rich and delicious. To accompany our drinks, we chose a cheesecake and a carrot cake. The cheesecake was creamy and indulgent, while the carrot cake was moist and flavorful. However, the service left a bit to be desired. Our server seemed rushed and hurried, making us feel like we were being pushed out the door. It was a shame, as we were enjoying our treats and the atmosphere, and would have liked to linger a bit longer. Overall, this Italian restaurant is a lovely spot to grab a coffee and cake, but the service could use some improvement.

The ambiance is beautiful cozy, welcoming, with a vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. The food was great as well . If you’re ever in Joburg and want a restaurant that delivers on food, atmosphere, and service, La Pergola is definitely one to hit. Can’t wait to come back!
