4 months agoWe had made a reservation for a table for six people, and were assured that the setup would include underplates and glasses, as discussed during the booking. However, upon arrival, there was no table prepared as promised, and no visible effort was made to rectify the situation. To make matters worse, the waiters assigned to us were rude, dismissive, and completely unbothered by the inconvenience we were experiencing. This level of unprofessionalism was truly unacceptable. Due to the lack of preparation and poor treatment we received, we were left with no choice but to leave without eating. What makes the situation even more frustrating is that I had already paid, essentially for nothing. No refund or whatsoever 👎🏽

8 months agoWe made a reservation for a picnic setup at 1:00 PM and paid R1100.00 in advance. However, upon our arrival, we had to wait an additional hour and 15 minutes for the setup to be completed, despite having made our booking in advance. When we inquired with the waitress about the delay, we were taken to the setup area, only to discover that our wait was in vain. The setup itself was very disappointing and felt rushed, as if they were not interested in hosting us. We requested a refund because it did not meet our expectations, but instead, we were offered complimentary drinks, which felt inconsiderate given the situation. Pictures attached: what we wanted and what we go.

11 months agoI recently visited the Lira Hotel with my partner. Upon arrival, we were asked to pay R700 before even entering restaurant, which felt like we were being forced to spend that amount just to dine. The food portions were small, and we had to order additional drinks just to meet the R700 requirement. On top of that, the hygiene in the kitchen is concerning; I don’t want to scare off customers, but it’s important that your kitchen is kept clean and free from insects. That said, the waiters were amazing—very professional—and the place itself is beautiful with a great view. However, management should seriously review these aspects of their business, as I won’t be visiting again.
