One of our first nights in Joburg, we dined here and wow! This place set the bar high for our whole trip. We went for the tasting menu, and honestly? Dishes I wouldn’t normally be into like beef tongue, smoked duck breast and goat — were transformed into pure elegance. Each plate felt like a playground of technique, flavor, and care. They smoke their own duck. They make their own chocolates?! Can you pack and ship me a box of them? Please and thank you. Such refinement in them! The wine pairing took us from Oregon to Sauternes, and while our waiter could’ve been a bit more knowledgeable (I ask a lot of questions ), it didn’t take away from how memorable the whole experience was. My one real critique? The desserts. The newly released nutty millefeuille didn’t wow me — but that mint parfait on the side? Unexpected and cool. Still unsure how I feel about it but it did make me think. Les Créatifs is tucked inside a gated shopping mall (odd location, yes), but once you’re inside, you’re in the hands of serious talent. Get the tasting menu. Don’t skip the bonbons.

#DelayedPost – Confession: We live under a rock. We've been visiting Hobart Grove Shopping Centre almost every week for years—way before Covid—yet somehow, we never noticed the fine dining restaurant right across from Rockets Bryanston. It's a gastronomic experience. Last week's 50th birthday celebration took guests through a unique, charmed 5-course journey like no other. 📍Les Créatifs Restaurant, Hobart Grove, Bryanston, Sandton, GP #FineDinning #BlackExcellence #MichelinStar #restaurant #tantalizing #culinary #InternationalCuisine #DiningExperience #UniqueTaste #exceptional #flavour #harmony #consistency #delight #inspire #TastingDishes #WorkTravel #MichelinStarMoment

I went here tonight for my husbands birthday dinner. The service and attention to detail was to the point from the moment I made the booking online, and throughout our time spent at the restaurant. The service was mind blowing. And the food was absolutely impeccable. The highlight for me was the chef himself coming out with the birthday cake and gave a birthday toast and glass of champagne with us. Extremely impressed with every aspect of our experience. Keep up the amazing standard.

Great food, great ambiance, the restaurant is beautifully decorated with art pictures and very intimate. I don’t like where it’s located though, it looks dodgy. I like the fact that you can see the chefs while they prepare your food. We had a 4 course meal that was paired with a choice of wine or cocktails and I love that with each meal and drink they explain the ingredients.

Le Creatifs The most memorable moment was definitely what you're about to read below... Her "How did you enjoy that course?" Me "Yea it was alright" Her "Amazing isn't it?!" Me thinking to myself "Yea no, it's alright?!" Don't get me wrong, the food was pretty good but that left an impression for sure. We had the red meat and fish split on each course (4 in total), so here's my verdict below ox tongue > tuna some some duck = sea bass crayfish (they called it lobster)
